Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have been teaching the Chinese language for the past six years, working with students ranging from kindergarten to Primary 6. Throughout this time, I have had the privilege of working with non-chinese and international students too, tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each learner. I am currently teaching 7 primary school students and is very familiar with the primary school chinese syllabus! My teaching style is adaptive, as I believe in understanding each child's strengths, weaknesses, and personality before determining the most effective approach to their learning. I do not subscribe to a single teaching method, as I recognize that every child learns differently. Over time, this personalised attention has consistently led to significant improvements in my student’s academic performance. For example, my P4 student who has been struggling with Chinese as a non-native speaker has showed a remarkable increase in his exam scores, going from an AL7 to an AL4 after 5 months of hardwork! I place great emphasis on open communication and transparency with parents, ensuring that we work together to understand the child's needs and support their academic growth in a collaborative manner.
