Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have nearly 7 years of teaching experience in early childhood education, including about 4 years as a Kindergarten Educator with MOE Kindergartens. During this time, I planned and delivered structured literacy and phonics lessons, supporting Kindergarten 1 and 2 children in building strong reading and writing foundations for a smooth transition into primary school. My teaching style is structured yet engaging — I introduce letter-sound relationships systematically, then guide children from blending and segmenting simple words to reading and spelling with confidence. I incorporate songs, games, and hands-on activities to make phonics fun while ensuring mastery through step-by-step practice. I have also worked with children of varying abilities, including those who need extra support, by creating customised learning plans to suit each child’s pace. As a tutor, I bring patience, creativity, and the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs. Parents have shared that their children became more confident, independent, and well-prepared for Primary 1 after my guidance. I am available to conduct lessons either in person or online, depending on your child’s needs and convenience.
