Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have 4 months of 1-to-1 tutoring experience with 4 upper secondary students, teaching E Math, A Math, Pure Chemistry and Pure Physics. Lessons involved explaining difficult concepts, helping with homework, reviewing schoolwork, identifying gaps in foundational knowledge, and guiding students through practice and exam-style questions. I am familiar with the current MOE secondary school syllabus and adapt my teaching pace and approach according to each student's needs. I use step-by-step explanations, worked examples and practice questions to ensure that students understand the concepts rather than simply memorising answers. For students who struggle with certain topics, I focus on strengthening their foundational understanding before progressing to more challenging questions. I am patient and approachable, and aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is to help students become more confident and independent in their learning.
