Tutor’s Teaching Background

A*STAR scholar awaiting PhD in 2022 seeking tuition assignments. My strength is in Biology, and I have formulated study tips and techniques that helped me achieved stellar grades consistenly through the years. While not having done formal tuition assignments, I have experience in coaching weaker students in H2 Math as a peer tutor, lecturing in NUS as a guest lecturer and mentoring high school, polytechnic and university students as a research mentor which involves extensive hand-on 1-1 personalized coaching in advanced scientific concepts.

Guest Lecturer

• Invited to teach a class in the module UBM2202 Creating Wolverine in Real Life about research and entrepreneurship in tissue engineering to inspire top students in NUS.

Anderson Junior College

H2 Math Peer Tutor

• Selected by school to coach weaker students in H2 Math as part of the school’s efforts to improve overall passing and distinction rate.

MENTORSHIP

Mentored 7 students interested in food science and biomedical research including students from NUS High School of Math and Science, Singapore Polytechnic and NUS undergraduates, with students achieving:

• ‘A’ grade in LSM3288/89 UROPS
• ‘A-’ grade in LSM4299 Applied Project in Life Sciences
• Shortlisted for final round of Singapore Science and Engineering Fair 2020
