Teaching Assistant at The Learning Lab for Primary 1 and 2 students (Jan 2021-April 2022)

• Supported teachers by helping to supervise the students. Managed classroom behavior and ensured cleanliness and implemented safe distancing measures and other Covid 19 protocols.

• Aided in marking homework and would sit down next to students who needed extra help throughout the lesson and go through the activities at their own pace. (A special request made by the teacher)

Private Tutor for 4 secondary school students (January 2018-October 2020), 1 IGCSE student (January 2018-November 2018) which I tutored until the end of IB (March 2019-October 2020), and 1 CIE A-level student (January 2021-November 2021)

• Was their tutor for English and Pure Literature from Secondary 2 to 4. Initial grades in Secondary 2 averaged at a C5/B4 but ended up with their O Levels being A1/A2. Tutored them once a week and thrice during the exam period.

• Tutored English language and Literature for IGCSE and LangLit for IB. The student started off with both subjects being B and in less than a year she improved by a grade and scored As for both. The jump to IB did have its struggles and in her first year, she was hovering between a 5/6 but finished the IB with a grade 7. Tutored her twice a week at parents' request.

• I am familiar with the current O level, IGCSE, IB, and CIE A Level syllabus and am confident in my English skills (ranked in the top 1% globally for my Cambridge A levels), and my teaching methods are specifically tailored to meet each student's needs (2 of my students suffered from ADHD/ Depression so I am familiar with managing special needs and was able to structure a curriculum that accounted for their symptoms)
