Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have taught students from K2 to Secondary 4 in a tuition center (English, Chinese, Math, Science) in the past for over a year. I am currently teaching Primary 6 English and Math (private tuition). I also have experience teaching students with special needs as I used to teach pathlight students under a student care center. I have over a year’s experience in teaching, and am currently teaching Math & English private tuition. I’m very easygoing and chill, but can be stern if needed. I enjoy teaching a lot and I pay a lot of focus on building rapport with my student as well as their parents. I believe in individualised learning and communication, so I always ensure that I learn more about the student during the start of my lessons. It is very important to me that I’m able to understand my student—to find out their weaknesses and strengths. Based on what I know about the student, I will choose an appropriate assessment book and work from there. I also like to use previous exam papers that they’ve done and ask them to redo questions that they’ve gotten wrong. I have helped students go from a C to an A, and I believe that your child is also able to make tremendous improvement. Remarks: I’m currently on semester break so I am mostly free right now. I am not too sure how my schedule will change as the new semester approaches. Client may propose a list of preferred days and timings, but I do appreciate some flexibility from the client. Do expect some rescheduling now and then as my schedule can be rather erratic due to school.
