Tutor’s Teaching Background

In 2020, I collaborated closely with my peers to design and deliver impactful mentoring sessions for students of Stamford Primary School through Zoom in the midst of the pandemic lockdown. For each session, we identified areas where the students needed support and developed lesson plans that are not only engaging, but also effective. To do so, we actively incorporated feedback from previous sessions to continually refine our approach. Beyond achieving academic enrichment, we sought to instil fundamental values in the students through a combination of educational activities and carefully selected videos that exemplified important values. We also encouraged reflection and discussion after the videos to ensure that the students understood and internalised the values conveyed. As a result, I wish to utilise the knowledge and skills acquired from this programme to tutor and mentor more students.
