Tutor’s Teaching Background

Qualifications: Diploma in Biomedical Science 2023 Graduate, pursuing a BSc in Data Science and Analytics at NUS. Awarded the Young Scientist’s Symposium Oral Distinction Prize and Edusave Skills Award in 2023. Relevant teaching experience: As a Peer Support Tutor (NASP tutor) in 2018, I mentored upper secondary students struggling with mathematics, tailoring my approach to their learning styles with patience and clarity. I identified common pain points such as quadratic equations and logarithms and overcame them by developing visual aids, like flowcharts and mindmaps, to simplify abstract concepts. This experience honed my ability to lead with empathy, adapt quickly, and manage responsibilities under pressure.
