Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have over 3 years of experience teaching English from kindergarten to secondary levels through tuition centres, private 1-to-1 lessons, and my current role as a Kindergarten Student Care Teacher. As much of my teaching experience was as a relief teacher or with younger students (below Primary 3), I do not have detailed grade records. However, I place strong emphasis on consistent practice through weekly exercises and homework, and I maintain individual progress trackers in spreadsheets to monitor each student's development closely.

Having studied both General Paper and Literature in English, I possess a strong command of the language. I attained an A for PSLE English, A1 for O-Level English, A2 for O-level Literature, an A for A-Level General Paper, and a B for A-level Literature. My A-Level results reflected significant improvement from preliminary grades of E and S respectively, achieved largely through self-directed learning, regular essay practice, and studying Cambridge examiners' reports together with the syllabus.

My own academic journey has taught me how to support students who struggle academically. I understand the challenges of catching up and can tailor lesson plans to suit different learning needs. I have also helped peers, including those with ADHD and similar learning difficulties, improve their understanding and performance through structured guidance and consistent support.
