Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have extensive experience in teaching and mentoring students of different age groups and academic levels. In the past, I have taught levels from secondary 2 to Secondary 4 in ip and olevel syllabus, helping them build a strong foundation in their subjects, and organized a large-scale mathematics tutoring project for Admirality primary school, where I managed and supported multiple students. My job scope included creating personalised learning materials and quizzes for each lesson. One of my key strengths is creating and customizing learning materials to suit individual needs. I’ve worked closely with students who have learning difficulties, adapting my teaching methodology to ensure they grasp key concepts and build confidence in their abilities. For instance, I used interactive techniques such as visual aids, hands-on activities, and regular progress check-ins to keep students engaged and motivated. Additionally, I’ve tutored Primary 5 and Primary 6 students in a childcare setting for all subjects, where I focused on building their exam readiness by breaking down complex topics into manageable steps, promoting active problem-solving, and fostering a growth mindset. My approach combines structured lesson planning with flexibility to address each student’s unique challenges and learning styles, ensuring they achieve measurable progress. Currently, I am private tutoring p5, p6, sec1 and sec 3 levels in science and mathematics and all of my students have experienced at least one grade jump from wa1 (before I started teaching them) to wa2. My secondary 3 student who I tutor in biology has intially remarked that she found biology difficult and hard to understand but she jumped from B4 to A1 after 1-2 months of tution.
