Tutor’s Teaching Background

Attained ABRSM grade 8 piano and theory, and ATCL Diploma. Received Bachelor of Music and Master of Arts in Piano Performance from Queens College, New York. Piano teachers include Morey Ritt, Donald Pirone and Gerald Robbins. Chamber coaches include Carl Schachter, Arbie Orenstein, Stephen Kate, Ruth Waterman and among others. Over 30 years of teaching and performing experiences in Malaysia, Singapore (eg. Esplanade Recital and YMS Halls) and New York (eg. Steinway and LeFrak Halls). Students' achievement include Distinctions in piano and theory examinations; awards from competitions in Singapore and the US; High Scorers from ABRSM; enrollment in local/overseas universities and conservatories. Conduct non graded and graded/Diploma/O and A level piano and theory lessons in-person and online. Converse fluently in English and Mandarin. Currently my child is a piano performance major at the Trinity Leban Conservatoire in London. Home studio in Sommerville Road
