Tutor’s Teaching Background

I hold a degree in Psychology and have teaching experience at Kumon, where I worked with students of different ages and learning abilities. Additionally, I am also tutoring private students 1-1 for Primary School Math. I have taken a student who only came to Singapore from Malaysia for 3 weeks, thus is very behind on syllabus. After tutoring her, she showed great improvement in understanding the concepts and solving of problems. My background has equipped me with the skills to understand different learning styles, communicate concepts clearly, and adapt my teaching methods to suit each student's needs. With this, the students had improved their skills in Math overtime. I am patient, responsible, and committed to creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. I believe in developing a strong foundation in each subject through clear explanations, guided practice, and consistent encouragement, rather than relying solely on memorization. Drawing on both my teaching experience and psychology background, I aim to help students improve not only their academic performance but also their confidence, motivation, and independent learning skills. I am dedicated to supporting each student in reaching their full potential and look forward to contributing to their learning journey.
