Tutor’s Teaching Background

1) Tutored a Primary 5 student in Mathematics and Science from 2021 through Primary 6. The student, who has ADHD, achieved significant improvement—from barely passing to attaining an Achievement Level 5 in the PSLE. Through patience and a structured approach, I successfully engaged the student, earning their family’s trust and pride in this accomplishment. Furthermore, I do not encourage spoonfeeding students with notes I create, but I will make sure to guide them in creating self-made notes. 2) Tutored two students in Mathematics from Secondary 2 to Secondary 4, providing consistent support throughout their secondary school years. Students responded well to my teaching methods and exam techniques, valuing my approach that focuses on cultivating a genuine interest in Mathematics. I believe that fostering a passion for learning is essential before imparting knowledge, as it enhances motivation and gives purpose to academic efforts. Many students struggle to connect with subjects due to a lack of understanding of their purpose, and my approach aims to address this gap.
