Tutor’s Teaching Background

I am passionate about both Mathematics and Science, and I genuinely enjoy exploring the logic and curiosity behind these subjects. I believe strongly in hands-on learning, where students understand the process instead of relying on rote memorisation. A solid foundation is essential, especially at the primary level, because understanding the “why” behind each concept helps children learn with confidence rather than feeling that the subject is a chore. To make lessons engaging, I incorporate visual aids such as figures, toys, and videos to bring abstract ideas to life. I aim to create a positive and enjoyable learning environment where Math and Science feel fun, approachable, and rewarding. I also have experience teaching a Primary 6 student who initially struggled and performed poorly in their PSLE prelims. Through targeted practice, patient guidance, and building confidence, the student improved significantly and went on to do well in the actual exams. With this experience and my teaching approach, I hope to support your child in developing strong fundamentals and a lasting interest in learning.
