JPJC NUS Computer Science (enrolling 2026)
I’m strong in Secondary Math and Physics, and I teach clearly from fundamentals to exam-style questions. A-Levels: AAA/AAD (H2 Mathematics, H2 Physics). As a student myself, I understand how students learn best and how to build confidence step-by-step. I also mentored juniors as an SAF Specialist, so I’m consistent, responsible, and able to give clear progress updates to parents with specific next steps. My teaching style is to diagnose the student’s gaps, focus on the weakest areas, and use repeated targeted practice until they become manageable. I place strong emphasis on confidence-building, so students can complete questions independently. The student will go through 3 stages of learning. Stage 1: Full guidance on solving a question, step by step. Stage 2: A hint when the students is very close to solving the question. Stage 3: Student being able to solve questions independently and explain the concepts to me, showing me that the student have completely understood the concept. I'm able to show different methods of solving a question, explain the rationale of each methods of solving, and one of the method may be the most suitable for the student. I will be committed to lessons. I've been through army and I have take on lots of recruits, troopers. Watching them grow and become a better person, become someone who can take up responsibility is very meaningful. And it will be the same when I teach the student. I will dedicate my heart to teaching my student so that they can become a confident person in not just academics but also in life. As a specialist in army, I know the importance of communication. And I'm confident that I can not just communicate with the student well, understand the student's needs, but also informing the parents on the student's progress frequently and keep the parents updated. I myself, knows best what a student needs and their struggles, and I will stand by them to overcome the obstacles. Thank you.
