Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have 2 years of teaching experience at NTU’s Welfare Services Club Friends of Children, tutoring Primary Mathematics, English, and Science – ranging from P2 to P6 (foundation and standard) – at Sunlove Home, Sheng Hong Family Services Center and SADeaf. Currently studying a B.A. (First Class Honours) in Communication Studies and Business. I am a Dean's Lister and Scholarship holder with strong academic and community service accomplishments. Looking to tutor Primary students to help them achieve their fullest potential. 

To this end, I cite a beautiful statement by Senegalese poet Baba Dioum that aptly articulates my philosophy towards teaching and education: "In the end, we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand; and we will understand only what we are taught." I believe in passing this wonder forward to our young ones, giving them an opportunity to peer into a world beyond their horizon.

Although I am an entry-level candidate, my career aspiration is to undertake further studies (M.A. and PhD) and in the process take up Teaching Assistant roles and finally attain a professorship. Hence, working for you may support and carve new possibilities in my career trajectory as an academic and aspiring lecturer.
