Tutor’s Teaching Background

• In the year 2023, I helped my daughter prepare for her PSLE. • Aware and up to date on what the requirements are to excel in PSLE Science. • I am a science graduate, and previously worked in an R&D laboratory in an MNC. • Has own set of techniques and skills on how to study for Science and get good grades. • Studied materials will be provided and will recommend useful resources instead of studying using the primary School textbook. • Had been self-tutoring own daughter from primary 1 to 6 (2018 to 2023), having no tuition at all. Had been preparing and revising the 4 subjects, especially Science – MCQs and opened questions for examinations with my daughter throughout these years. • I am willing to impart my skills in learning science. My style is straightforward. Practicing orderly and gradual progress. Emphasizing ‘ step by step’ and sequenced learning. I am a meticulous and organized person. My style of learning & absorbing Science is more inclined to direct and assist the student to score in the examination than completing school homework. • My daughter has obtained an Edusave Merit Bursary award for the years P1, P2, P3, and P5. Her Science Grades are as follows: P3 – 85% above, P4 – 84%. P5 – Prelims- AL 1, P6 – Prelims – 75%. She continues to obtain the Edusave Merit Bursary award in the year 2024 for Secondary One. • Able to understand the anxiety of parents who want their child to obtain good grades in their examinations. • In the year 2024 : - I had taught four students @ P6 Science and helped them to prepare for their PSLE @ 2024. One of them got a top-three award in the class and a good progress award in school, attending one of the primary schools in the north-west region. - Tutored three students @ P5 Science. - Continued coaching own daughter @ Sec 1 G3 Science. She has scored A2 in her Sec 1 EOY. For the year of 2025, teaching 5 students @ P6 Science , 2 students @ P6 Foundation Science and 1 student @ P4 Science as well as 1 Non - Chinese student to converse in mandarin @ kindergarten level. In the upcoming 2026, teaching 1 student @ P6 Science and 2 students @ P5 Science .
