Tutor’s Teaching Background

Hi, I’m a Year 3 student at NTU, majoring in Chemistry and Biological Chemistry, with minors in Life Sciences and Youth Work & Guidance. I’ve had plenty of experience guiding my younger siblings and cousins in their studies. One of my proudest moments was helping one of my students improve from an F9 to an A1 in his Sec 3 Normal Academic Math. I’m a lively, responsible, and patient individual who enjoys breaking down complex ideas into simple, relatable explanations. My Minor in Youth Work & Guidance has taught me how to connect with children meaningfully, which helps me create a safe and motivating learning space. I always try to meet students where they are, academically and emotionally, and build from there, no matter how far back we need to start. I don’t rush through topics—instead, I focus on strengthening foundations, helping students understand their schoolwork, and if needed, curating suitable questions to reinforce learning. I’m fully committed to giving my best in every lesson, and I look forward to the opportunity to grow and learn alongside your child. Also, I will be able to commit to tutoring for the next 2 years permanently, based on how long you would like me to.
