Tutor’s Teaching Background

I am a Life Sciences graduate from the National University of Singapore (Highest Distinction, CAP 4.73), I bring a strong foundation in scientific knowledge alongside a track record of academic excellence and research achievements, including co-authoring peer-reviewed publications in mBio and Briefings in Bioinformatics. My teaching-relevant experience stems from mentoring both an undergraduate intern and a foreign PhD student during my time as a Research Assistant at Duke-NUS Medical School. In these roles, I guided others through complex experimental workflows, offered support in troubleshooting and data analysis, and communicated scientific concepts clearly and effectively. These experiences have honed my ability to explain challenging content in an accessible and engaging way—skills I aim to bring into a tutoring context.
