Tutor’s Teaching Background

Volunteered at a student centre and taught 1-on-1 English, Math and Science. Teaching methods: During lesson, I will find out about the student's weaknesses and strengths before conducting lessons from there by teaching them the topics and afterwards, moving onto the questions. Student has to ensure consistency in doing their work as well so as to not forget or lose their progress. I am also available outside of tutoring times, so student / parent can give me a text should they encounter issues / problems. When exams approach, we will be doing full papers and questions on their weaker topics. If exam is near and student is still quite behind the syllabus, we will do a rough run through of the topics tested and continuous practices of full papers to get them used to the format, questions and what to expect at the very least. I can also personalise notes to a student's understanding / students to write their own notes for their own understanding if they prefer to do so as I go through the topic. Parents can suggest / recommend getting specific types of workbooks as well.
