Tutor’s Teaching Background

Am an experienced tutor specializing in Social Studies and Geography for O-Level and Lower Secondary students. As a current MOE teacher and an O-Level Social Studies marker, I have a strong understanding of syllabus requirements and assessment standards. I also have access to a wide range of past exam papers and marking schemes for both subjects, allowing students to get well-exposed to different question types and answering techniques. My lessons are content-rich, exam-focused, and tailored to each student’s learning needs. I’m also known for being funny and engaging — I use Gen Z lingo and relatable examples to make lessons more enjoyable and help students stay motivated. Student Achievements: 2021: Sec 4 NA (Fuhua) improved from failing to Grade 1 for Humanities; entered Polytechnic. 2022: Sec 4 Express (Fuhua) went from borderline passes to B3; qualified for Junior College. 2023: Sec 4 NA (Tanglin) showed improved classwork and scored B; secured Polytechnic placement. 2024: Sec 4 Express (online) gained confidence and understanding in just a few sessions. 2025: Currently teaching three students — Sec 3 NA (Fuhua), Sec 2 Express (Crescent Girls'), and a Sec 2 international student from China. All are making steady progress, with positive feedback from parents. I aim to help students master content, apply skills effectively, and build confidence — all while enjoying the learning process.
