Tutor’s Teaching Background

Since young, I was interested in being a teacher and pass on my knowledge. Throughout my schooling years, I actively took it upon myself to help others who are struggling academically. With my strengths and interests aligned, I helped my friends by breaking down complex concepts with the use of visual aids like concept maps. After taking A levels, I started engaging in 1 to 1 tuition for mathematics, chemistry and physics. My students range from P1 to Sec 4. While certain studying methods worked for me, I certainly understand that there is no “one size fit all” method in improving academically. Thus, I strongly believe experimenting and learn what works for my students and practicing is no doubt the key in improving. Thus for my students, I strongly encourage them to put effort into their daily homework while catering a unique lesson style that best suits them during class to maximise they learning. I strongly believe that learning should be a long term process and passion is of no doubt important in sustaining the motivation to study and I aim to achieve that during my lessons.
