Tutor’s Teaching Background

- Had tons of experience in private tutoring Preschool and Primary school students of all levels and for all subjects including PSLE syllabus - Had interned at YMCA student care center for 6 months which required me to guide and teach primary school students regarding their school work in subjects such as English, Math, Chinese and Science. - Had interned in The Enrichment class as well having tons of experience educating preschool kids and also private tutored phonics previously - Have experience in tutoring non-Chinese students where they started off not being able to recognize and read to being able to as seen in her progress card given by the school. They have also shown great improvements from a borderline pass grade to getting a band higher. For Math and Science, I would go through the textbook first to ensure they are familiar with the concept and incorporate exercises for them to practice as well as other school exam papers practices for prepare the student for all types of possible questions that may appear in PSLE. For Chinese, I would go through the Chinese textbook with the student first by reading, ensuring they fully understood the content and familiarize themselves with the important words that should be absorbed by them at the end of each chapter, then i will proceed to make them write those words each 5 times and show them how to write the words stroke by stroke and test them afterwards to ensure that they are familiar with them. I would also incorporate assessment books which are in line with their textbook for them to do. I would also prepare them for Chinese composition by going through with them model essays and good phrases to use in their compo to boost the quality of their compo writing. For English, I would focus on drilling them skills through various practices and exam papers as well as exposing them to more vocabulary words which are useful for composition as well as their paper 2.
