Tutor’s Teaching Background

I am not certified in working with children with special needs, however I have the knowledge and experience of working with these special little ones, specifically in the context of children with speech delays (see LeoMagan Speech Sanctuary experience). The amount of detail that parent has provided moved me and got me very enthusiastic about making time to possibly take on this particular assignment, as it shows a very present parent who loves and cares for child a lot. Given my teaching methodology of learning through creative means, I am very keen to support this child in his growth and development! - LeoMagan Speech Sanctuary Pte Ltd: Taught speech & language in English and Mathematics for 1-1 and group classes of up to 5 children, aged between 3 years old to 22 years old, typically-developing children and children with special needs. Curriculum content includes English academic components such as vocabulary, reading, oral, listening compre and composition writing. - Preschool Learning Academy (PLAY) @ Temasek Polytechnic (CLOSED): Was a preschool teacher overseeing a class of up to 25, facilitating and teaching in big groups, small groups and 1-1 support. Used Jolly Phonics as our phonics programme. Taught N1 to K2s, hence familiar with the process of kickstarting reading and writing skills, especially through interest and tactile materials. - Part-time Tutor: Tutored children 1-1 for speech & language through play, P1 English, P1 Mathematics and P1 Science. - Full-time Trainer & Facilitator: Designed and conducted online workshops on essential life skills (Mind in the Making) for children (main focus) and parents (as support). It was group sessions through Zoom, with up to 21 screens (parents and children share one screen).
