Tutor’s Teaching Background

I love to analyze and observe my students first, on what is their weakness and strengths are. From there, I will try to adjust my teaching methods that suit them, such as preparing materials and that I can present to them if they are more of a visual learner. I like to push the student to the best they can achieve, as I believe every student has the potential to do more, but at times they require assistance for those potential to be unlocked.   During my 3 years of mentoring, the students that were under my care are usually those that have difficulties in their studies and behaviour, as some came from difficult family backgrounds.  So over the years, I'm able to develop warmth and empathy feelings to others  Combined with my strong will to enforce rules, it helps me to be effective when guiding or coaching them. As in the 2nd year year of my tenure, I was elected to be the coordinator where I was tasked to maintain the classroom and plan out the materials or workshops for the students. But more particular that year we focused more towards the PSLE students as majority of them were taking the papers. In the end,with the support of my team,  I managed to push them to their limits, both academically and in their character development too.  Most of the students that were under my care were from kindergarten to primary school students, but at times, I do teach secondary school (lower sec) students. Subjects that I have experience are English, Math, Science, History, Social Studies.
