Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have been teaching since 2017, beginning at YYD Education Centre where I managed small-group classes of 4–8 students, primarily focusing on English and Mathematics. I later expanded my experience by teaching at a reputable tuition centre with a student base of over 100, delivering lessons in Mathematics, Science & Tamil (Primary 1 to 6), English for lower primary levelsz In addition to centre-based teaching, I have tutored over 30 students on a freelance basis. Many of my students have shown significant academic progress—those who were failing improved to passing grades, and others advanced to consistently scoring As and Bs. I am a patient educator with a strong understanding of children's learning needs. I quickly identify students' weak areas—often within a few lessons—and guide them effectively toward improvement. I provide customised materials when needed and tailor my teaching strategies to each student. For Science, I emphasise answering techniques and identifying key points essential for excelling in exams. In Mathematics, I focus on heuristic methods and question analysis. Many students struggle with understanding questions, so I begin by breaking them down clearly. With repeated practice, they learn to identify heuristic types and apply the correct methods confidently.
