Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have experience providing peer tutoring at school, supporting students in mathematics and chemistry through one-to-one and small-group sessions. This involved explaining core concepts, working through practice questions, and helping students build confidence in topics they previously found challenging. I am a native English speaker and have taken the SAT four times, which has given me a strong understanding of English conventions, grammar structures, and reading comprehension. In addition, I have completed several Advanced Placement courses, including AP English Language, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and AP Chemistry. These courses strengthened both my subject knowledge and my ability to explain complex ideas in a clear, structured way. Through my tutoring and academic experience, I have developed a patient and supportive teaching style focused on helping students understand fundamentals, ask questions confidently, and apply concepts independently. While my experience has been primarily school-based, it has provided a strong foundation for working with younger students and adapting explanations to different learning needs.
