Tutor’s Teaching Background

I started working at an MOE school as a part-time Teaching Assistant (TA) in June 2013. My duties were to help to prepare resources for lower consortium classes. I supported the learning support programme (LSP) teachers in the students’ reading of High-Frequency word list (HFW), Stellar word cards. I tutored and assisted children individually or in small groups to support them in their English and Maths schoolwork.

 After completing my Diploma in Learning Disorders and Child Psychology, I started working as a TA at a boutique international school in January 2014. At IIS, the students were in a mixture of mainstream and support stream. In my first year, I assisted the Grade 6 teacher in classroom behaviour management and preparation of lesson materials. I was a Preparatory class teacher in 2015 , Grade 3 and Grade 4 class teacher in 2016 till 2019. 

I joined PAP Foundation Community in May 2017 to December 2017. I worked on pro-bono cases, teaching handwriting and observed other LSEds during their literacy and language packages and screening.
