Tutor’s Teaching Background

Although I have no formal teaching background, I have consistently supported my friends throughout secondary school and JC. I helped classmates understand difficult concepts in Math, especially to prep for tests and national exams. I break down the topic step by step and tell them what is a better way to do certain questions. I also will help them slowly think through their own ideas, find good/bad parts about their logic and lead them to the correct answer. I will also encourage consistent practice. These informal teaching moments have shaped me into a patient and empathetic communicator, and I believe they’ve laid a strong foundation for working effectively with students in a tutoring role.
