Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have just started teaching my brother, who is now currently in sec 1, mathematics. Through this, I’ve realised I enjoy teaching young kids and as my brother is not an easy child, I’d like to say I am rather capable at it. Through our weekly tutoring sessions after his CA, his grades increased exponentially from a failure grade to an A2. I would not like to take full credit as I am sure he has put in due diligence as well but I’m sure I have a part to play. I do not have any professional experience teaching (eg. MOE) but I am definitely patient and will prepare class materials based on the child’s learning syllabus. I will do everything in my power to ensure that there is improvement and understanding on the child’s side.
