Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have 7 years of tutoring experience across both 1-1 tuition and tuition centres: Year 1: 1-1 tuition only Years 2–7 (6 years): Combined tuition centre and 1-1 tuition — 4 years at Tutorjohn Learning Centre and 2 years at EQ Learning Centre (small group classes of 6-7 students) Within this period, I also taught Primary 4-5 English and Maths for 2 years Subjects & Levels: Secondary 3-4: English, Maths (E-Math & A-Math), and Biology Primary 4-5: English and Maths Specialty: Mathematics Teaching Approach: I focus on building conceptual understanding first before exposing students to practice questions, rather than jumping straight into drilling. Online Teaching: I have experience giving lessons 1-1 and revision classes at the respective centres over Zoom. Lessons run the same as in person. I have ways for live annotation by the student but he or she needs to have an Ipad. Otherwise, Answers and workings can be sent via image. I will upload and annotate through the screen. Track Record: Hardworking students typically improve from C5/6 to A1/2 Even weaker, less-motivated students realistically achieve at least B3/4 My most notable and recent results: my Sec 3 student was scoring single digits in A-Math went on to score a B3 for her O-Levels
