Tutor’s Teaching Background

I studied in Hwa Chong Institution (High School and Junior College). I just graduated from NUS with a major in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Chemistry (out of my love for Chemistry) and achieved Honours (Distinction). Conducted one-on-one Mathematics and Science lessons with two Secondary 2 students, one Primary 5 student, one Primary 6 student and two JC students (H2 Chemistry) Things I do for my tutees: 1. Formulated step-by-step solutions with clear explanation for given Mathematics and Science questions 2. Incorporate diagrams and drawings to illustrate the Science concepts as well as to enhance students' understanding 3. Took initiative to generate summaries for the relevant chapters and chart out new and different questions to cater to students' doubts 4. Communicated and worked with parents to gauge where students are and to provide constant updates Track record: JC1 H2 Chemistry student: Improved from C to B in about 4 months (Current) JC2 H2 Chemistry student: Improved from B to A in about 2 months
