Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have had three 1-to-1 tutoring experiences with primary school students since I began in 2024. I tutored my first student in P3 Math from September 2024 to February 2025, eventually stopping due to scheduling conflicts. I currently have two students under me; a P4 boy and a P6 girl. The P4 boy has been with me since October 2024 — I tutor him in Math and English. Despite being from Foundation Math before his parents engaged me, he has been steadily improving in his term assessments; scoring full marks in the most recent one, and has returned to mainstream classes in 2026. I have just recently began tutoring the P6 girl for about a month or so. I believe repetition makes perfect. My students tend to grasp concepts better after repeatedly attempting practice questions. Only when they are familiar with the technique and concepts through repeated practice, will I then go a step further and introduce more complexities and variations of the subject matter. I mainly work with assessment books and mock exam papers (upper-primary students). I do not provide my own materials.
