Tutor’s Teaching Background

I am a full-time humanities tutor for General Paper, English literature and Geography at a JC and upper secondary level. I graduated from Hwa Chong Institution's Humanities Programme in 2018 with 8 distinctions for A levels, attaining the top in General Paper award for my school for being at the 100th percentile. I was one of 5 students worldwide to be offered deferred entry into the University of Oxford to study geography, slated for entry later this year. I have had over 3 years of tutoring experience in humanities subjects, having worked in several peer tutoring programmes at Hwa Chong and volunteering at CDAC homework centres. My style of teaching is approachable and interesting- I hope to nurture a passion in my students for the humanities at large as I believe this is the best way to score well. As a young and relatable tutor, I am able to connect well with my students and push them to their respective academic goals.
