Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have 2 years of private tutoring experience in the secondary school subjects of Maths and Science. One previous tutee of mine managed to scored distinctions in the subjects mentioned for his O’levels. I myself scored distinctions for those subjects during my schooling years taking the O’levels at school. I have a passion for teaching and mentoring young people and my deepest wish is in seeing them transform their hopes and ambitions into reality as they excel at their O-levels and move on to pursuing their aspirations in life.

I was formerly from St Andrews Junior College and St Joseph’s Institution, scoring 4 distinctions at A-levels and 6 distinctions at O-levels. I scored distinctions in the subjects of Math, A Math, Physics, English, History, and the Combined Humanities.

My teaching philosophy can be explained simply as such: to give as much as I can for every student, and to guide each student according to the pace which he or she can be comfortable with. To do so, every successful educator must understand that the struggle is won on 2 fronts:

1. On the side of the educator, high quality educational content must be provided, and
2. On the side of the student, he or she must be successfully engaged by the educator.

As for my teaching methods, my main focus is in teaching complicated concepts in a manner that is simple to understand. This will enhance a student’s confidence towards his or her studies. At the same time, I will personally take charge in helping my students organize and put together a tailored strategy that they themselves will find personal fulfillment in achieving.
