Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have over 18 years of teaching experience, specialising in Primary Mathematics with a strong focus on PSLE preparation. My lessons follow a structured and systematic approach, where students are guided to first identify the correct concept before applying the appropriate method. This helps them handle even unfamiliar problem sums with confidence. I use my own carefully designed teaching materials, developed over years of teaching experience. These materials are tailored to exam requirements and common student mistakes — I do not rely on generic assessment books. In addition to PSLE preparation, I also: * Teach Mathematics Olympiad (including advanced problem-solving techniques) * Prepare students for DSA selection (Math-related) * Provide support for Secondary School Mathematics (E Math & A Math) My teaching focuses on: * Building strong conceptual understanding * Developing structured problem-solving skills * Improving accuracy, speed, and exam confidence Over the years, I have helped many students improve significantly, with around 70% achieving A1 in PSLE Mathematics. Lessons are personalised to each student’s level, with consistent feedback to ensure steady progress.
