Tutor’s Teaching Background

Founder & Head Coach of Resilient Little Builders. I’m a Psychology-Trained Educator who graduated from The Australian National University (Australia, onsite) with GPA of 89.3%—High Distinction in Research Statistics and Distinction in Research Writing. I can understand and speak elementary Japanese. I have 3 years of teaching experience, and my curriculum and materials are tailored to my student’s unique progress. One of my students wasn’t able to read when we first started lessons together. Now, with proactive support from the parent, he is able to independently read storybooks. I believe in collaborating with my student, involving and engaging them with active conversations about their learnings. I work in tandem with my students’ interests (e.g., teach using topics they like). Most common parents’ feedback is their children feel comfortable with me and visibly enjoy the lessons.
