Tutor’s Teaching Background

- I have taught at various prominent tuition centres as a humanities specialist tutor and curriculum writer for a total of 4 years. 

- Drawing on this experience, I am highly skilled at curriculum planning, development as well as classroom management and crash course style classes. I've taught more than 10 separate classes of 6-8 students each during my time at each tuition centre. 

- I have taken in 34 students privately over the past 7 years of tutoring and each of them have seen an improvement of at least 3-5 grades (U to C/B, E to B/A, D to A), depending on how many months I spend with them. 

- I develop my own blend of curriculum materials from my years of experience covering skills and content and provide additional phone consultations as needed to ensure students’ success. 

- As a full-time tutor, I have guided numerous students who struggle in language and humanities subjects including English, Lit, History, Econs and GP towards academic success in national examinations, as I am able to commit to them long-term and teach them strategies to succeed in exams.

- I am highly adept in teaching humanities subjects and well versed with many texts / content options that accompany the subjects. 

- I have been teaching via digital platforms for the past 2 years full-time and possess a tech set-up (iPad, Apple Pencil, projector, laptop w monitor) to match the quality of face to face classrooms. Online classes are highly interactive and sometimes even more popular with students than face to face, as they comprise videos, virtual whiteboards, collaborative note taking and several digital templates for writing.
