Tutor’s Teaching Background

Currently have 18 students for 2026. - Approaching 7 years of teaching experience. Recently 2 N level students got through the PFP program. Another student improved from F9 in WA1 to B3 for O levels. Also pulled students from NA to express stream. Student has been failing math, after engaging me she saw her first B in just less than 4 months. My students results have gone from failing or barely passing to consistently achieving As and high Bs. Another student recently got full marks for his exam. Teaching Method: Understand, apply and excel. My philosophy is centered around the belief that every student has the potential to succeed and it is my role to provide the support and guidance to ignite that spark and reach their goals. I provide personalized support by analyzing each student’s strength and weaknesses and create a supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters growth, independent learning and development. Through my lessons, students will gain confidence in tackling math problems, fostering their love for math. Deep understanding: Build real math intuition. When teaching, I identify the students weaknesses and strengths first. My lessons are planned to target concepts and chapters that students are weak in. After solidifying foundation, then I will provide questions related to the topic for the student to retain the knowledge and apply the concepts learnt beforehand. Practicing is also important for me to gauge what the student knows and do not know. No spoon feeding: I don’t give answers — I spark thinking. Students are encouraged to explore, ask and figure things out with guidance. I believe in growing independent, confident problem solvers. Tailored Support: My lessons are very focused and individually catered to every student. I will also prepare materials and explain in the way that is not technical and easily understood (like explaining based on real life examples that students can relate to).
