Tutor’s Teaching Background

I am Edmund, a graduate from Catholic High School and Hwa Chong Institution. Results wise, I have achieved 10 Distinctions in the O levels with all my subjects achieving A1 except for English and Higher Chinese, A2. In the A levels, I achieved AAA/A and have managed to enroll in NUS dentistry, one of the most competitive courses in Singapore. Having started teaching in 2021, I have taught privately for three years. I have taught a total of 10+ students and they range from higher secondary to the junior college level. Higher secondary level, I teach both emath, amath, biology and chemistry while for jc, I teach bio chem math econs. My students in the past have made tremendous improvements eg. from D to A , E to B etc. Just recently, a couple of my students who just finished the 2022 A levels have graciously thanked me for achieving their desired grade, A and I am comforted by the fact that I am able to help elevate their grades and have increased their understanding of the subject. I am confident that I am able to help you/your child have a better grasp of the various difficult topics both in the O and A levels. As for my lesson plans, I ensure that all my students have dedicated and specialised curriculums to follow to ensure they are able to improve on their weaker topics. I can promise that my style of teaching is catered for each individual student and not a "one size fit all" solution that many tuition centers produce. This has allowed me to have a better understanding of both the student and how to help he/she improve. I hope that I will be able to work with you/your child to achieve the desired grade. As for materials wise, I do provide my own materials for easy access. I also mainly tutor online through zoom which has found to receive positive feedback from students, Should I take on teaching a student, rest assured that I will stick with the student all the way through to their major examinations and will ensure they are well taken care of.
