Tutor’s Teaching Background
Previously tutored two female students. One in Primary 5 Science and the other in Secondary 4 Mathematics and Combined Chemistry. Through my patient explanation and weakness-based targeted practice, both my students tremendously. The former student improved from an AL5 to AL2 in Science, while the latter improved from a C6 to a B3. With a firm belief in enquiring and understanding over rote memorisation, I believe that it is my duty as a tutor to guide my students to question, discover, and appreciate what they are learning. Doing so would thereby strengthen their understanding and skills for the subject as well as enhance their self-confidence. I have received 6 Distinctions for my ‘O’-Level Examinations, with an A1 for E-Math, English and Combined Geography, as well as A2 for A-Math, Pure Chemistry and Pure Biology.
