Tutor’s Teaching Background

I am a dedicated piano teacher who is passionate about inspiring a lifelong appreciation for music. I teach piano students from beginner level through Grade 8, and have experience working with learners ranging from complete beginners to Grade 6. My students span a wide range of ages, from primary school children to adults.

Several of my students have successfully completed their ABRSM Piano and Music Theory examinations, with distinctions among their results.

My teaching approach focuses on developing a strong technical foundation, cultivating musical independence, and tailoring each lesson to suit the individual student's learning style, goals, and interests. Whether a student is preparing for examinations, building confidence in performance, or learning purely for enjoyment, I strive to make lessons engaging and rewarding.

In addition to my piano background, I was a member of the Guitar Ensemble in junior college and the Concert Band during primary school. I have also performed as a pianist at company dinner and dance (D&D) event.

Lessons are available either in the comfort of the student's home or at my home studio in Hougang, which is equipped with a Kawai grand piano.
