Tutor’s Teaching Background

Hi! I am Mr Seet! I have been in this line of work for the past 10 years, as well as teaching IB students for more than 6 years. Over the years, I see many students losing interest in learning because of various reasons. For example, some teachers are just reading off the sentences from their PowerPoint slides without giving students a chance to properly digest the information and apply it in actual scenarios. I believe in developing lessons using up-to-date methods and analogies that are close to students’ hearts to deliver the learning points. It is important to engage the students and develop their interest in learning. During lessons, teachable moments are caught to stress impactful values, in order to mould students into diligent and upright individuals with the right attitude to learn and grow. Learning how to ask questions would help learning subjects like Math and Science easier. My notes and classes are designed in such a way where they evoke students to think and clarify their doubts. I believe that education is meant to prime students for a lifetime of learning, even after graduation. Training students to think critically will equip them with the essential tools to face future head on. 95% of my HL Chem and Math students get 7 for their IB
