Tutor’s Teaching Background

I like working with children, and am very patient and approachable. I focus on ensuring the children understand the concepts taught and follow up with some exercises to assess their understanding. I am also able to provide clear explanation and practice questions for the tutee. I am an NUS High School graduate, with majors in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, and Honours in Biology. I attained a High Distinction for my diploma and graduated with a Principals List Award (top 5% of the cohort). I have received the MOE ESIS scholarship for my 6 years in NUS High, as well as the MOE Pre U Scholarship in Years 5-6. I am a current Year 1 medical student under scholarship. I am confident in my ability to teach Math and Science (biology, chemistry and physics) and I am flexible with timings/dates according to the student’s needs. I am very familiar with the PSLE, A Level, IP and O Level Math and Science syllabus too and can provide practice questions for the student. I graduated with an overall GPA of 4.9, with an honours in Biology, and a High Distinction. Currently, I am teaching Pure Chemistry to a Sec 4 student and have improved her grades from a barely pass to a B. I am also teaching an NUS High student, as well as a class for JC2 H2 Biology.
