Tutor’s Teaching Background

1997 to 2001 Lecturer (part-time), Coleman Language and Commercial Centre Taught TESOL (Elementary to Upper Intermediate levels) and General English. 2000 to 2002 Lecturer (part-time) , Singapore Chinese Chamber Institute of Business Taught TESOL to Diploma students. 2000 to 2003 Lecturer (part-time), Systematic Commercial Training Centre Taught NITEC’s Certificate in Business Studies, Business English for secretaries, LCCI’s Diploma in Marketing and G.C.E “O” Level English. 2004 to 2006 Trainer, GIG Education Centre I developed content, set exam paper and taught Creative Writing For Instructors module as part of The College of Teachers Diploma in Educational Studies (Enrichment Enterprise) Programme to teacher trainees. Dec 2006 to May 2013 English Lecturer then promoted to Head of Business English and Head of Curriculum Unit, East Asia Institute of Management (EASB). Taught Business English to undergrads at Jingmen University, Hubei China then joined ESAB full time. June 2013 - Dec 2017 On writing sabbatical in Malaysia. I freelanced as a trainer in Malaysia 2016/2017. Jan 2018 to present ESL Tutor with Global LT Inc. Taught ESL, IB/ICGSE syllabus to expat families from Germany, Korea, China and Taiwan. July 2019 to present Adjunct Business English Lecturer with SIM Global Education Taught Business English for Beginners and Intermediate English to High School and Undergraduate foreign students for SIM Summer International Program. Total: 15 years of teaching in language schools/tuition centres and tertiary institutes.
