Tutor’s Teaching Background

I was a relief form teacher for a P3 class in Holy Innocent's Pri Sch and taught this class and another P5 one English. I also gave English tuition to three students who failed their mid-year or prelim exams and helped them to pass their GCE O Levels with a B or C grade. 

I was one of the top students in English in Raffles Institution, scoring an A1 for my GCE O Level English. In Raffles JC, I scored an A2 for GP in the A Levels. In both schools, I was a member of the debate team and chairman of the club.

At work, I was a senior lecturer and head of dept at the National Community Leadership Institute. Among the subjects I taught were Speaking Good English and National Education/Social Studies. I went on to be a senior specialist trainer at the Police Training Command where among other subjects, I taught public speaking and presentation skills. I started my working life as a journalist with the Straits Times Press and as a corporate communications professional. I used to be the director of LTA's Project Communications & Feedback departments.
