Tutor’s Teaching Background

Tutoring Experience (in years): 2( one-to-one) Experience: I have 2 years experience in tutoring and I specialise in Secondary school Mathematics (Additional/ Elementary) and Biology(Pure/Combined). I provide one to one tuition and currently have 3 one to one private students. Out of the 3 students, I am currently tutoring a student in secondary 2 NA science. I am updated on both express and normal syllabus and topics tested in exams. I am able to teach students specifically on how to answer the different types of question tested in exams. For JC level, I am versed with the biology and mathematics syllabus. I have a past student for both biology and mathematics with both obtaining an A grade in their A Levels. For my students, I come up with different study plans and teaching methods depending on their progress in the subject. In general, I equip my students with the right knowledge and skills before drilling them on question-answering techniques to answer the different types of questions that are commonly tested during exams. This has proven to be effective as my students have a 90% A1/A2 rate with many of them starting off with a C6/D7 grade in Mathematics and Biology. Some materials will be provided and timings can be arranged according to students/parents preference. I am able to provide more lessons when nearing exam dates. I am experienced in conducting online classes using zoom and if needed, I am able to do so during this period. I am equipped with the materials and proper equipment in order to ensure that online tuition classes are as effective as physical lessons.
