Tutor’s Teaching Background

I am an experienced guitarist in various styles, including classical, jazz, blues and pop rock. Having attained qualifications in classical guitar AMEB exams (A grade), as well as significant experience in jazz stage bands, such as competing in the Royal South Street Eisteddfod and the VSMF, I am looking to share my passion and experience in guitar with others. Having moved to Singapore recently, I have taught local students with much success, embracing a free, condusive learning style that prioritizes both the creative and technical development of my students in various musical genres. 

I cater to various learning goals, from the casual learner to those preparing for practical and theoretical exams, as well as those aspiring to join bands or other music-related CCAs in school. I am well-versed in classical, blues improvisation and fingerstyle guitar genres, and I employ detailed lesson plans with sequential learning goals to ensure that my students accelerate rapidly in thier learning progress.
