Tutor’s Teaching Background

I have 4 years of experience providing 1-to-1 home tuition, teaching students from Pre-School through Secondary 1 and 2 in English and Malay, including Maths, Creative Writing and Phonics at the younger levels. Alongside this, I have been a full-time preschool educator since 2023 at SHAWS Preschool, where I hold leadership responsibilities and manage curriculum planning on top of daily teaching duties.

My earlier classroom experience includes part-time roles at MyFirstSkool, Chiltern House and Star Learners centres, giving me a strong foundation in child development, classroom management and lesson planning across different learning environments.

I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education with Merit from Temasek Polytechnic, graduating in the Top 10% of my cohort and awarded a place on the Director’s List. I am L2 Certified as a Preschool Educator, and I am currently furthering my studies with a part-time degree in Psychology with a Minor in Special Education. Through my tutoring experience, I have also worked with students with GDD, ADHD, Dyslexia and ASD, tailoring my teaching approach to each child’s individual needs.
